I am a graduate of the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and Economics and have 20+ years in the accounting field. After starting my career as an auditor at a large regional CPA firm, I moved into general ledger accounting in staff / senior accountant positions in the utilities and manufacturing sectors before starting my own business. This path provided exposure to many different industries and encompassed the full accounting process from the minute details of daily transactions up to financial reporting. In these roles, I enjoyed streamlining procedures and learned to master reconciliations. I appreciated that these pieces of the accounting process would allow for a clean set of financial statements, leading to better business decision making.

In my free time, you can often find me planning out my next big hike or remote canoe camping trip, spending time with my family, or enjoying my local lake with family and friends. I am passionate about the outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible enjoying the fresh air. Silver Maple Bookkeeping was named for two beautiful silver maple trees that towered over the front of my old farm house where my business was formed. They always brought me a sense of calm from outside my home office window, and it’s this same sense of calm that I aim to provide my clients.
